The Brief

Pro-invest Hotels (Pro-invest Group), in partnership with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) signed an Ownership/ Management agreement to launch a new international hotel brand into the Australian market in 2022 – Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants.

The Solution & Deliverables

This hotel launch required integration between multiple parties including the global Kimpton Brand team, the IHG marketing team, Pro-invest Hotels operations teams and multiple partners.

The requirement was very clear – it needed a hard-hitting commercial strategy across Brand, Marketing, Sales and Revenue management.We had to launch a new luxury-lifestyle brand into the market and bring the new property into line within a competitive, post-pandemicmarket.

Working closely with the Kimpton brand team, through the bespoke Kimpton branding journey and facilitating Workshops, we were able to create a customised brand-name based on the persona of the property, create and deliver on an integrated Marketing and Advertising pre-opening plan, create the Restaurant & Bar concept in line with leading Australian chef Luke Mangan, and work with key partners to deliver on the guest touch-points against the Kimpton Brand Deliverables.

As the Pre-opening Marketing lead we managed the pre-opening process end to end. A comprehensive Marketing plan, channel management and Financial Planning was a huge commercial piece of this project. Along with the ability to work closely with the IHG commercial teams and align budgets, take to market plans and strategic partnerships.

The Outcome

We were able to bring the Kimpton brand to life for its Australian debut, in Sydney. We partnered with key agencies and partners to deliver an on- brand, well positioned 5 star luxury-lifestyle hotel, in a competitive hotel landscape, post Covid.
